"Oh, and you got another message about two hours ago from a Juahir Madras."
"Juahir Madras?"
"Yes, Governor, from the Oovo Four detention center."
―A receptionist and Governor Arihnda Pryce[src]

Oovo IV was a prison moon. The Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft was created to guard it.[2] The bounty hunter Jango Fett stole his Firespray-31, Slave I, from Oovo IV.[3] During the reign of the Galactic Empire, Governor Arihnda Pryce was told by a receptionist in her Coruscant office that she had received about twenty messages over the past year from her old friend Juahir Madras, who was in a detention center on Oovo IV.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Oovo IV first mentioned, albeit indirectly, in the new Star Wars canon in the 2015 reissue of Star Wars: Star Pilot, a DK Readers Level 3 book written by Laura Buller[3] and released on September 1, 2015.[4] It was originally created for Star Wars: Episode I Racer, a Star Wars Legends racing game released by LucasArts[5] on May 19, 1999.[6] Its name became canon in Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, a reference book written by Adam Bray, Kerrie Dougherty, Cole Horton, and Michael Kogge[2] that was released on September 4, 2015.[7]
