Ord Lithone was originally an Ordnance/Regional Depot in the Galactic Republic. During the time of the Separatist Crisis, it hosted a Baktoid Armor Workshop factory which assembled B1 battle droids until Republic regulations forced its closure prior to the Clone Wars.

Baktoid complied, in a bluff to make the Republic believe battle droids were no longer in production. In truth, a battle droid army was being built in factories on Outer Rim Territories worlds such as Geonosis.

Ord Lithone was more than likely named for the planet Lithone in the Transformers universe. Lithone was populated by intelligent Transformer-like machine life.
