Ord Mynock was originally settled during the Old Republic as a communication relay. As trade lanes shifted elsewhere, the planet fell into relative obscurity.
It was a lush world, but very dangerous. Most of the flora and fauna were hostile and deadly. They include vicious crushing vines and hover-vehicle-eating plants. There was also the threat of pirates. Ord Mynock was believed to be the homeworld of the Mynocks.[4]
The major company on Ord Mynock was ComNet Corporation.
