"...say it, you sand-sucking gravel maggot! Say 'Gasgano's Ord Pedroviz' [sic] is the fastest, most fuel-efficient racing vehicle ever designed! Say it!"
―Gasgano during a bar fight with Mawhonic[3]

The Ord Pedrovia was the podracer model used and designed by professional podracer pilot Gasgano.

Characteristics[]

Gasgano's Ord Pedrovia participated in the Boonta Eve Classic

The vehicle boasted incredible acceleration, which came in handy, since Gasgano loathed to let anyone pass. This vehicle had a nice speed boost package, but after boosting, the pod ran very hot, and lacked a good cooling system to appease. This was also not a problem for Gasgano, as he only used the booster in critical situations.

"…eh Gasgano doowa newpa Ord Petrovia!"
―Fodesinbeed Annodue, translated from Huttese as "And Gasgano in his new Ord Pedrovia!"[4]

When Gasgano used this model, he managed to finish second in the Boonta Eve Classic held in 32 BBY.

In 1 BBY, an unidentified racer piloted a podracer that looked very similar to Ord Pedrovia, which may or may not be the same as the replica being acquired at a later point by an unidentified spacer.

Early in the Galactic Civil War, a spacer acquired a podracer that looked very similar to Ord Pedrovia. This podracer was believed to be a replica, and not the same vehicle piloted by Gasgano.

Behind the scenes[]

The Ord Pedrovia made its first appearance in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.

A statue of it was later featured in the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies, where it was available to players as a veteran reward. In 2008, it became the subject of a loot card in Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game: Champions of the Force, which could be redeemed for the actual Podracer in Galaxies.

In Episode I: The Phantom Menace ½ it is erroneously referred to as the "Ord Pedroviz".
