"Groups like the Happy Blasters give this trade a bad name. Almost anyone can tell you about disasters these types of mercenaries have caused, incidents like the Benkal Plagues or the water crisis on Orroman, but not many people can remember the name of the scout who discovered their world or who charted the territory they live in."
―Korren Starchaser's datafiles[src]

Orroman was an astronomical object[3] that was located within the Wild Space[1] Orroman system.[2] At some point, a group of mercenaries caused a water crisis there, with information about the disaster eventually becoming general knowledge across the galaxy. During the New Republic's reign, the New Republic Scout Service captain Korren Starchaser compared in his datafiles the mercenary group Happy Blasters with the group that had caused the water crisis, considering them both disreputable.[3]

Behind the scenesEdit

Orroman was first mentioned in the article "Scouts' Dispatch," which was written by Peter Woodworth and published in West End Games' Star Wars Adventure Journal 13 in May 1997.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Orroman system, and therefore Orroman itself, in grid square I-14.[4]
