Orvos was the elderly shaman of the village of Rokrul on Nelvaan.

BiographyEdit

For several years, Orvos had prophecized an ice age on the planet (which the Nelvaanians called the "Great Mother"), but was unprepared for the severity and sudden onset of the cold snap which hit the planet in the last year of the Clone Wars. The male warriors of the village were sent to investigate, but none returned, leaving Orvos as one of the only males in the village. Orvos also prophecized the arrival of a great warrior—"Ghost Hand"; who would rescue his people from their plight.

Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi arrived on Nelvaan to investigate a sighting of General Grievous. Orvos realized that Anakin could be their savior, and conducted a ritual ceremony which involved covering Anakin in bruise-leech crawlers which left geometric tracks over his skin. Anakin followed the frozen tears of the Great Mother, and discovered the Techno Union experimenting with a dangerous mutagen on Nelvaan warriors.

Behind the scenesEdit

The word "orvos" means literally "(medical) doctor" in Hungarian. "Holt kezed" means "your dead hand".
