Ossus City was, according to Qel-Droma Epics, a modest village located in a tranquil valley on the Outer Rim Territories planet Ossus, far from the Ooroo Canyon, where the Great Jedi Library was supposedly located, and approximately fifty kilometers from Knossa.[2]
It was a place of recovery for the Jedi, from wounds both physical and psychological. A small temple staffed by a rotating cast of young Jedi healers provided primary care to the sick and wounded. Surrounding the temple were small cottages that slept four: one healer and three patients. Farther out were a variety of huts, cabins, and tents occupied by elderly Jedi seeking a quiet end in peaceful contemplation of the Force. While recovering, Jedi patients often visited with the older Masters, seeking wisdom and guidance.[2]
