Otoh Mandassa was a city built by the amphibian Gungan race in the swamps on the planet Naboo.^[1] In 32 BBY^[2], Naboo was invaded by the Trade Federation, a galactic corporation, and their droid army, forcing the Gungans into a retreat from their cities to locations such as the sacred place. After an alliance was made between the Gungans and Naboo's Human population, the Gungans assembled their Grand Army on the Great Grass Plains outside the Human city of Theed to combat the Trade Federation. Otoh Mandassa was one of the many cities that contributed forces the army and fought the Trade Federation alongside Gungans from many other cities such as Otoh Gunga, Oxon City and Umberbool City.^[1] The Gungans were nearly defeated at the battle, but were victorious due to the droid army shutting down after their control ship was destroyed by a young boy, Anakin Skywalker.^[3]

Behind the scenesEdit

Otoh Mandassa has only been mentioned in the 2001 PC game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and its 2002 expansion Clone Campaigns. The city is mentioned in the intro to the level "The Battle for Theed", the seventh level in the Gungan campaign.^[1]
