The Out System Scout Vessel was deployed by the Galactic Empire to be used for finding new planets (it was famously used during the search for a suitable planet with which the Empire could replace its operations on Demophon), although it was originally designed by the Loronar Corporation to serve as a scout ship. One Out System Scout Vessel was captured by the Alliance to Restore the Republic in the Stribos system, by neutralizing it before it could jump to hyperspace.
