The Outcast village was a section of the Undercity of Taris where Outcasts from the Upper City and their descendants resided. The village was surrounded by walls to protect the residents from the rakghouls which roamed the Undercity. In 3956 BBY, Revan and Carth Onasi arrived in the Undercity looking for Bastila Shan. Although never seen, Zelka Forn had a second medical facility in the village, which would eventually have vials of Rakghoul serum.

The village was vacated by the Outcasts when Revan provided the residents with journals indicating the fabled Promised Land and was presumably destroyed by the orbital bombardment at the hands of Darth Malak.

Over three centuries later, during the Cold War, a group of pirates would find the ruins of the village and recover a Rakghoul serum vial, which was later improved and duplicated by Republic scientist and become owned by the Republic. The village like the rest of the planet, fell to the occupation of the Sith.

Behind the scenes[]

In the non-canon dark-side ending, if Revan gives the journals to Igear for destruction, the Outcasts remain in the village.
