The Outland Regions was the term once used to describe the vast area of space towards the outer edge of the galaxy, including the space around the planet Eriadu.

In the last decades of the Galactic Republic, the Outland Regions were patrolled by the warships of the Republic Outland Regions Security Force, and under the Galactic Empire, Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin of Oversector Outer could have been styled as Governor of the Imperial Outland Regions.
