The Outrider was first introduced to the new Star Wars canon in the 2018 reference book YT-1300 Corellian Freighter Owner's Workshop Manual, written by Ryder Windham.[2] It was originally created for the 1996 Star Wars Legends multimedia series Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire.[6] It was later included in the Special Edition of A New Hope, where it could be seen leaving Mos Eisley shortly after Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO and R2-D2 arrive in the spaceport.[7]

It also stated that they could reach speeds of 800 kilometers per hour. Since the Outrider was a YT-2400 light freighter, it must have had the same standard features.
  5. The Outrider is seen leaving Tatooine in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas places the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope in 0 BBY, therefore, the Outrider leaving Tatooine at that instance must have occurred in the same time.
