The SFS P-w702 ion maneuvering jet was manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems as an upgrade to the SFS P-w401 ion maneuvering jet, and provided enhanced thrust propulsion to starfighters equipped with an ion drive. Two were used on TIE series starfighters.

Scythe Squadron, a TIE/ln starfighter squadron, was equipped with the upgraded maneuvering jets to improve flight performance within the tight confines of the second Death Star.
