PT03 was the designation of a DUM-series pit droid. PT03 was one of several pit droids owned by the Toydarian junk dealer Watto, who offered the droid for sale along with its counterparts, PT02 and PT04, around 32 BBY. Most of the potential buyers were Podracer pilots. Watto priced each of his pit droids at 1,000 truguts, selling them from his shop on the planet of Tatooine. PT03 was tan in color. The droid also had a large black colored shape on its torso.[1]

PT03 and its counterparts first appeared in the 1999 video game Star Wars Episode I: Racer, where they cold be purchased by the player. The pit droids were used for repairing damaged parts on the player's Podracer. Damaged parts were repaired after the player successfully completed a newly unlocked course or a course that they hadn't beaten before.[1]
