Pachydermoid

Pachydermoids were a grouping of species, unrelated and from separate planets, that shared certain physical characteristics. Pachydermoids typically had either trunks or elongated mouths, thick skin, and hooflike feet. Another typical (but not all-encompassing) trait was the possession of tusks or tusklike teeth.
A number of sentient pachydermoid species existed, as well as non-sentient species.
