Padded armor was a type of battle armor, but was typically much lighter than most. This allowed more flexibility and movement to the wearer. Yet because of this, it was much less resistant to damage than the average battle armor. Padded armor also came in a wide variety of colors. During the Cold War, the Twi'lek Vette was known to sometimes wear padded armor.
