Though this is narration rather than in-universe dialogue, the word Panda reappears in Star Wars: X-wing as the name for a pair of Lambda-class T-4a shuttles. This may indicate that at least some denizens of the Star Wars galaxy have heard of pandas, and would be able to distinguish them from banthas.
