Par Ontham's Guide to Etiquette was a flimsiplast book of social etiquette. It was also one of the most published and revised books in the galaxy. Kitster Banai, a Tatooine slave and a friend of Anakin Skywalker, bought this book with the small amount of Boonta Eve Classic prize money that Anakin had given him before he left. He then used it to obtain a job as a steward at the Three Moons Mansion. The credits earned eventually bought him his way to freedom.

In 8 ABY, Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, Chewbacca and C-3PO were trying to recover the Killik Twilight after it was stolen by Kitster Banai. The search led them to the Banai house in Mos Espa, where C-3PO recognized the book among Kitster's possessions, indicating that he has read it several times.
