A pardon disc was a device used by the Galactic Republic to issue a pardon for prisoners of war and release them from prison. Supreme Chancellor Palpatine had one made for the incarcerated Hutt crime lord Ziro Desilijic Tiure during the bounty hunter Cad Bane's raid on the Senate, and Senator Orn Free Taa took the disc to the Republic Judiciary Central Detention Center to free Ziro and comply with Bane's demands.
