- "The tracking station at Pastil is fully operational. Captain Rex and I are proceeding to the outpost in the Rishi system."
- ―Cody, to Obi-Wan Kenobi
Pastil was an astronomical object[5] located in the Abrion sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was situated along the Manda Merchant Route near the Rishi system.[2]
History[]
- "Tracking station duty means being the first line of defense against the Separatists. And the first line of defense requires vigilance, discipline."
- ―Cody, to the rookie clone troopers stationed on Pastil
During the Clone Wars, Pastil was the location of a tracking station that was used by the Galactic Republic and operated by rookie clone troopers.[3]
In 22 BBY,[6][7] Marshal Commander Cody and Captain Rex inspected the tracking station on Pastil.[3] During their inspection, they uncovered a droid spy,[5] a mouse droid that was nicknamed "Rodent" by the rookie clone troopers stationed on Pastil.[3]
Following their inspection, Marshal Commander Cody and Captain Rex reported to High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi that the tracking station was fully operational, and proceeded to the outpost in the Rishi system, where they prevented a major Separatist incursion.[6]

- ↑ The Essential Reader's Companion dates the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film and The Clone Wars: Secret Missions 4: Guardians of the Chiss Key to 22 BBY. In addition, in Guardians of the Chiss Key, Count Dooku mentions a recent run-in with a group of Weequay pirates, which refers in part to the events of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode "The Gungan General." Since Star Wars: The Clone Wars Chronological Episode Order on StarWars.com (backup link) places "Rookies" between The Clone Wars film and "The Gungan General," it can be concluded that "Rookies" also takes place in 22 BBY.
