Pathfinder III was an exploration ship of the Galactic Republic.

This ship rediscovered long-lost Human colony of Yashuvhu on 33 BBY. The Pathfinder III crew was on first-contact mission, so they introduced themselves to the Yashuvhi. They tried their best to learn Yashuvhi language, only to discover that it was a variant of Basic with inflections, and that the natives were eager to know whether they, the Pathfinder crew, were Jedi.

The crew explained them what Jedi were. One of the audience, Force adept Valara Saar, convinced them to take her and her duuvhal, Zeev, offworld to learn the Jedi path.
