The Peace Brigade was a group that collaborated with the Yuuzhan Vong during the Yuuzhan Vong War. The symbol was the image of a Human and Yuuzhan Vong hand clasped. Ironically, in the Yuuzhan Vong language, peace was considered to have the same meaning as submission.

[edit] History
The Peace Brigade was formed by sentients who thought that the New Republic was being apathetic and not reacting properly to the threat of the Yuuzhan Vong. They presumed that the Yuuzhan Vong would win the war, so they thought it best to become their allies against the Jedi. In helping them corrupt planetary governments, capture high ranking officials, and turn over Jedi to the invaders, they were only sealing their own doom, for the Vong had little use for the Brigade once the fight was over. But as membership in the Brigade continued to grow, it was clear they required a clear command structure to continue functioning.
After the Yuuzhan Vong drove the Hutts out of their former Space, Ylesia was given to the Brigade as the location of their central headquarters, where it became the armed forces of the Ylesian Republic. The hierarchy was simplistic: a single headquarters group, with command branching down into the smaller, independent cells operating clandestinely throughout the galaxy. In function, the Brigade was a combination of the Bothan Spynet and Black Sun, using guerrilla tactics and political manipulation. The Brigade deployed its own fleet, but its most effective weapon was still subtle manipulation of galactic politics, furthering the goals of their masters, the Yuuzhan Vong.
When Thrackan Sal-Solo reappeared, the Yuuzhan Vong forced him to become Commander-in-Chief of the Brigade. When Ylesia was attacked by a task force of the New Republic and Bothan Fleets, once again the Brigade's command and control ability was crippled and Sal-Solo captured. But like Black Sun and similar organizations, the Brigade would soon emerge revitalized and renewed, and with new leaders to continue the fight.
By this point, however, the Galaxy at large had come to the conclusion that the Yuuzhan Vong had broken their word too many times to be trusted with any promise of mercy. Indeed, at the latter stages of the conflict, the Yuuzhan Vong began to use Peace Brigadiers in their slave forces. However, most of the Peace Brigade remained loyal to the Yuuzhan Vong. After the Liberation of Coruscant, members of the Peace Brigade were placed on trial for treason and war crimes.
