The peggat was a Huttese currency made of gold and used in the Outer Rim Territories during the last decades of the Galactic Republic. At that time, a single peggat's worth fluctuated near forty standard credits. A peggat was equal to sixty-four wupiupi, or four truguts.

It was later used by the remnants of the Galactic Empire after the Battle of Endor. Commander Quenton in 8.5 ABY on Tatooine did not recognize New Republic credits and bid for the Killik Twilight using Peggats.^[1]
