[edit] Biography

Pekt began to expand his clan's empire. As a young hatchling, he experimented with slave collars and restraints, using his servants as experiments. In his molt stage, he moved on to the Wookiee prisoners-of-war kept in his clan's garrison. An especially sadistic being, even for a Trandoshan, Pekt realized what excellent slaves the tamed Wookiees were.

Pekt used his father's fortune to research Wookiee biology, and developed a series of techniques to capture and enslave them. He earned a certain degree of fame when he was consulted by bounty hunter Bossk in order to make some custom weapons for him, and in return, Pekt received a number of fine Wookiee pelts, which he gifted to his egg-litter.

On one job when Pekt was young, a valiant Wookiee broke free, seized Pekt in his paws and tore off the Trandoshan's arms. The Wookiee was killed for his effort and Pekt returned to Trandosha. Within a month, his arms had regenerated, a trait shared by all Trandoshans, and he was back at the camp.

In 32 BBY he allied with the Trade Federation and helped them to colonize Alaris Prime, probably to have a mutual help on hunting Wookiees. However, his plans sunk when Attichitcuk, with the help of Qui-Gon Jinn, drove the Federation off, but while leaving, he vowed to return.

Gradually, Pekt's reputation as a Wookiee-exterminator garnered him several jobs around the galaxy, working for bounty hunters, gangsters, and eventually the Empire. He hired a task force of ex-Trandoshan Army regulars and it was rumored that he could clear a Wookiee village in less than a standard week.

When the Empire took control of Kashyyyk, under advisement from Trandosha, they enslaved the major cities of the planet. Pekt was selected by the local Moff Darcc to oversee the entire slaving operation, and he drew up the plans for the Avatar Orbital Platform, the hub of misery for Wookiee slaves. Pekt knew as long as the Empire controlled Kashyyyk, he could act with impunity, and he did—stepping up both his experiments and his slaving trade.

However, in 4 ABY, the enslaved Wookiees, freed and aroused by Han Solo and Chewbacca, hunted Pekt and Darcc to the end. The two villains retreated to the heavily protected Avatar Orbital Platform where Han and Chewbacca followed them. With the arrival of Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, and Rogue Squadron, their fortress was demolished. Pekt did not escape.
