People's Inquest was a Jedi watchgroup in the months before the Clone Wars. They supported Jonava Billane in Case of "Baby Ludi". Thrynka Padaunete was president of the Inquest. They were known for their multiple petitions and marches on the Jedi Temple. In one particular march, several Padawans were overwhelmed and were unable to quell the angry group. Jedi Master Plo Koon easily dispatched the disruptive mob using a Jedi mind trick.

In the wake of Order 66, the group aided the Galactic Empire by compiling a list of all known Jedi that were still at large, along with information on other Force-using sects.
