Permafrost (lightsaber crystal)

Permafrost was the name of a unique lightsaber crystal that was in the possession of the township of Aurilia. When used in a Jedi's lightsaber, the blade glowed a deep, icy blue.

The exact origin of Permafrost is unknown. However, in 2 ABY, it came into the possession of the township of Aurilia on Dathomir. It was awarded to a spacer who was instrumental in the Battle of Hoth.

Permafrost is a unique lightsaber crystal in Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, added in late 2008. The vagueness of its history is due to that, even though players may take part in the Battle of Hoth in game, they may choose to fight for either the Imperials or the Rebels, after which players may purchase the crystal with "tokens" they receive for completing the battle.
