- "The Jedi? […] For ten thousand years they sat on Tython, staring into the stars and debating the nature of the cosmos, like a sewing circle of widows on Peshara."
- ―Filed selections from the debriefing of Arden Lyn
Peshara was a terrestrial celestial body[3] located in the Peshara system.[1] It was situated in the Arrowhead region, a part of the Slice portion of[2] the Core Worlds.[1] In 4 BBY, agents of the Galactic Empire awakened the former Steel Hand of Palawa Arden Lyn from twenty-four-millennia-long stasis and debriefed her, with selections of the debriefing being filed by[3] Grand Inquisitor Laddinare Torbin.[4]
In her debriefing, Lyn mockingly compared the ten-thousand-year-long existence of[3] the Je'daii Order, an organization of Force-users that had been based on the Deep Core planet Tython[5] and had dispassionately contemplated the nature of the universe, to "a sewing circle of widows on Peshara."[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Peshara was introduced in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[3] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Peshara system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square L-10.[1]
