Characteristics

The Phoebos was designed by Ubrikkian Transports for speed. It was fast in and out of an atmosphere and it was often used in racing circuits. It was sleek, aerodynamic, and visually appealing. The Phoebos had moderately powerful shields and factory-installed laser cannons.[1]
HistoryEdit
As the Empire started restricting personal starfighter ownership, Ubrikkian classified the Phoebos as a recreational vehicle. This allowed Ubrikkian to bring a top-of-the-line starfighter to the market without running the risk of being shut down or converted to producing Imperial starfighters, as had happened to various other starship manufacturers.[1]
The Phoebos was popular with wealthy crime lords, small-time smugglers and thieves. It was also seen as a status symbol for "new nobles" of the Galactic Empire.[1]
