Pieter was the Chieftain of a village of Ming Po on the planet Carlac, and an elder who hated the intrusive Death Watch's bullying ways and subjugation of his people. He bravely confronted Pre Vizsla to leave and return his people, yet the cruel Pre Vizsla had other plans. He intended to kill Pieter with his Darksaber, but instead killed his grandaughter, Tryla, when she sacrificed herself.
