The pink blobs were possibly semi-sentient creatures that could join together to form other objects, including various technologies, such as an OG-9 homing spider droid. Each blob had six claws, along with a metal device on its back.

In 19 BBY, the blobs were responsible for taking down a horned green Jedi and a contingent of clone troopers aboard the space station, the Brink of the Celestial Wake in the Outer Rim Territories. Jedi Knight Serra Keto managed to destroy the blobs with the assistance of Anakin Skywalker, who tore a hole in the space station wall, leading to the station's explosive demise.
