"Okami! Do you have what you owe me?!"
―Pintu yelling at Nyx Okami[src]

Pintu was a male of an unknown species who lived on Coruscant during the Clone Wars. He was a moneylender and would use rough tactics to get his payments back.

Biography

At one point during the Clone Wars, Pintu had lent money to Nyx Okami. The young man had failed to pay back the sum on time however so Pintu took two of his henchmen and headed to Okami's mechanic shop. Pintu demanded to know where his money was when he entered the shop. The surprised Okami tried to make excuses and pointed to a female Togrutan customer who was apparently late in paying a few credits to the young man. Pintu saw through his bluff and set his henchmen on him and a fight broke out. Okami was almost beaten senseless when the female joined the fight and easily defeated the henchmen. Pintu was surprised and ran with his men out of the shop while reminding Okami that his debts were far from being paid.

Behind the scenes

Yushyn original concept

Pintu's design was based on concept art drawn by Ralph McQuarrie.

Prior to the cancellation of The Clone Wars TV series, Pintu was to appear in an episode starring Ahsoka Tano. He was first revealed at the "Ahsoka's Untold Tales" panel at Celebration Europe in 2016, where a clip was shown where he confronted Nyx Okami for money that he had lent.[1] The character's design was based on a piece of alien bounty hunter concept art drawn by Ralph McQuarrie for Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back[2], which was revealed in 2015 when Yushyn was introduced in the Star Wars Rebels episode, The Call who was of the same species.[3]
