An asteroid field in the Corellian system, the Pirate's Shadow was named for the cover and shelter it provided to pirates and thugs lurking within it, preying on freighters that ventured too close. CorSec forces sent occasional patrols into the area, but were never able to eliminate the pirate threat or smuggling operations in the Pirate's Shadow.
