The Pirate Confederation was an ambitious band of pirates active on Hoth during the Cold War. After the Republic's defeat on Hoth, the pirate band started an independant salvage operation, trying to salvage as much as possible from the ship graveyard on the planet, working against both the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. The pirates hoped to build a pirate armada from the wreckage of the old ships.
