The point-defense laser cannon was a highly accurate missile-interception laser. Upon activation, it would shoot a weak laser, intercepting and blowing up the missile. It was mounted on the Crusader-class corvette and the HAVT B5 Juggernaut.

Laser cannons capable of intercepting missiles were also used on the Adumari Meteor-class aerial fortress.
