The polarizer was a unique weapon created by Jeigh Esse out of a BlasTech EG-7. It was able to emit high-energy charges for several meters when fired. This weapon gave Jeigh great job satisfaction when she used it properly.

The polarizer was created by Chris Cowdrill, a Star Wars fan, for the backstory of their Jeigh Esse entry in the Design An Alien contest held in the Star Wars Galaxy Magazines.
