Polith system

The Polith system was a 7-planet system in the Inner Rim Territories. It contained the planet Thyferra. Before contact with the Galactic Republic, the Vratix, native to Thyferra, had already colonized other celestial bodies in the Polith system. During the Galactic Civil War, the system was governed by Moff Kyl Ransen.

It is not known which celestial bodies the system supported Vratix colonies, as no canon source has yet specified. One would expect the Vratix to have colonized their homeworld's moons first, as being closest to home and most easily attainable, but the two moons are said to be airless and uninhabited even in the time of the Galactic Civil War. Thus, it seems the pre-Republic Vratix probably were not capable of or did not want to engage in terraforming or building enclosed colonies. Thus, they most likely chose temperate worlds rather than the system's gas giants, barren Polixi, or icy Renas. Loxizhra, a desert world, seems the only planet likely for colonization. Other (perhaps all of the) colonies were most likely located on temperate, life-sustaining moons which may have orbited the gas giants, comparable to Yavin 4. The used phraseology "other bodies in the system" seem to indicate the author intended the colonies to be located on moons (and maybe asteroids?) as well as planets.
