- "Your ancestor had multiple wives?"
"Of course." - ―Darth Nox and Xivhkalrainik
Polygamy was the act of having more than one spouse at a time. Because of the low male birthrate among Cereans, polygamy was a generally accepted practice on Cerea. While the Jedi Order's tenets forbade any emotional attachment, Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi was allowed to take multiple wives. He had four wives, two of which were known as Shea and Mawin.
Polygamy was also practiced by the Kaleesh.[source?]
