Polysteel was a substance used to construct statues. A factory on the planet Centares at one time produced a statue of the Tionese Despot Xim made of polysteel. The statue, which depicted Xim holding a heatbeam, was then put on display in an arena on the planet Soruus. The historian Bleys Harand mentioned the polysteel statue in his text Travels Amid Strange Stars in which he dismissed it as an inaccurate depiction of Xim.
Behind the scenesEdit
Polysteel was first mentioned in 2013 in the third instalment of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare: Author's Cut, a series of posts on the StarWars.com blog featuring material cut from The Essential Guide to Warfare. The post was written by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart and did not make clear the time frame of polysteels use.
