The Procurator-class Star Battlecruiser, also known as the Procurator-class battle cruiser,[5] was a warship made by KDY.[1]

Characteristics
The Procurator-class was a multi-mile long warship in the Star Destroyer design family.[2][3] Its reactor was large enough, relative to the rest of the ship, to be visible from outside the hull. It protruded with a ventral bulb, similar to that of later Star Destroyer classes.[1] Despite being a heavy warship, the Procurator-class was only equipped with a limited-range hyperdrive, which prevented it from transgalactic travel.[1]
History
The Procurator-class served as part of the Kuat Sector's sectorial fleet since before the start of the Clone Wars.[1][6] The ships continued service in the Galactic Empire, as Kuat's security forces were Imperialized and augmented at the Empire's founding to ensure continued military ship-production.[7] Unlike their starfighter lines, the Procurator design was still part of Kuat's bountiful ship catalogue decades later.[2]
Behind the scenes
Its name bore several meanings, including "a viceroy; under the Roman Empire, a financial agent or under-governor."[8]
