Proton Torpedo Launchers were crawler-type anti-starfighter mobile artillery platforms that could fire proton torpedoes from a launch tube it deployed during combat. Constructed in heavy weapons factories at a cost of 150 units of carbon and 50 units of nova crystals, used by the Wookiee species during the Liberation of Kashyyyk in 4 ABY.

Proton Torpedo Launchers and Heavy Proton Torpedo Launchers appear in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. The campaign was later included in its 2002 expansion pack. An image of a Proton Torpedo Launcher was used to represent the "anti-air mobile" unit in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
