The Prow heavy turbolaser cannon was an oversized weapon used on the Munificent-class star frigate and Recusant-class light destroyer during the Clone Wars. As being known for being light warships with oversized guns, the prow heavy turbolaser cannon easily fits their reputation.

CharacteristicsEdit

A twin Prow heavy turbolaser cannon on the star frigate was powerful enough to melt an ice moon measuring 1,000 km in diameter, or pierce the shields of a 10km wide Grade III battle station. Four star frigates could easily outgun a Venator-class star destroyer, but outnumbering a foe did not always secure victory, as seen in the Battle of Ryloth (Clone Wars), when a single Venator defeated six star frigates using a Marg Sabl.

A single Prow heavy turbolaser model was also fitted under the fully droid-controlled Recusant-class light destroyer. It was considered that 4-6 Recusant-class light destroyers were capable of destroying a Venator-class Star Destroyer, due to this massive weapon.^[1]
