"I was such a promising pupa. Glassy-eyed, appendageless, able to move my body at will. The world was a titillating surface, an endless, glistening horizon that I had only to track across, to let slip under my underbelly, to feel satisfied. Ah, the joys of youth!"
Unidentified Ithorian (Musings of an Ithorian)[src]

Pupa was a term used at least on Rimbaux Four to describe an Ithorian youth prior to its metamorphosis.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Pupa was first mentioned in Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas, a book published in 1993.[2] Lucasfilm employee Leland Chee, who maintains the Holocron continuity database, has indicated that information contained in the book is non-canonical.[3] Pupa was later made canonical with the publishing of Musings of an Ithorian on Hyperspace.
