Qhal were Yuuzhan Vong hunting beasts.

It is unknown what became of the qhal after the war ended; though it can be assumed they were transplanted to Zonama Sekot where they would have joined the tampasi. If they did join the living planet, they were most-likely made less blood thirsty by the Shapers.
