Quarmall was a controversial Abyssin Jedi Master who collectively took the younglings of the Bergruutfa Clan as his Padawans. He later became a Dark Side Adept under the Sith Lord Darth Sidious.

Shortly before the Clone Wars, Quarmall and Jedi Stass Allie and Tassida Judrelle dismantled a salt smuggling cartel on Arcona and arrested 15 smugglers, including cartel kingpin Lojrak Shrag.[2]
During the Clone Wars, he was captured and believed killed by order of General Grievous aboard a Mon Calamari ship.[3][4] However, his tenacious Abyssin healing ability kept him alive. He was later captured by the Galactic Empire, and twisted to the dark side, becoming a sleeper agent for the Empire.[1]
Following the Battle of Endor, Quarmall reemerged, spreading a message of interplanetary unity and peace to cause a weakening of the New Republic Military. His plan was soon foiled by New Republic agents and fledgling Jedi who exposed his plan to his followers by showing Imperial coded messages and holovids of his dark plot and soon confronted and defeated the Dark Side Adept in a furious battle.[5]
