Quermia was the home planet of the Quermian species. Quermia was part of Xim's empire before its collapse. It was located at the end of the Perlemian Trade Route.

About 17,000 BBY, during the Indecta Era, the Arkanians settled Xexto subjects on the planet for a genetic experiment. These Xexto became the Quermians. The Arkanians moved on and forgot the world. It was rediscovered by the Galactic Republic in 6,950 BBY and joined the Republic in 6,900 BBY, around the end of the Hundred Year Darkness. During the Jedi Civil War, Quermia aligned with the Sith Empire, returning to the Republic after Darth Malak's death.
