[edit] X-wing Rogue Squadron 25: The Making of Baron Fel

Fel: "I thought you had me there, Cadet Celchu."
Celchu: "So did I, sir, but I couldn't finish you."
Fel: "Perhaps next time, Cadet."
Laine: "Of course you couldn't, Celchu. Peace runs in your Alderaanian veins. Can't be a warrior from a disarmed planet."
Celchu: "Some of us still bear arms proudly."
Officer: "What happened here?"
Celchu: "I…"
Fel: "Cadet Laine slipped. Darklighter, Rens, help the security officer get Cadet Laine to the infirmary."
Celchu: "Sir, I would not have you lie for me."
Fel: "What lie? Laine suffered from a slip…of his tongue. It's done."
Celchu: "Yes, sir."
Fel: "Just remember this, Celchu: you no longer belong to Alderaan. You're the Emperor's man now."
Soontir Fel, Tycho Celchu, Laine, and a security officer[src]
"You're spacedust, Tycho."
"Kill me a dozen more times, Biggs, and we'll what, be close to even?"
Biggs Darklighter and Tycho Celchu[src]

[edit] X-wing: Rogue Leader

Celchu: "Wes, we've been out here for days—"
Janson: "Just hours, actually."
Celchu: "Whatever."
—Tycho Celchu and Wes Janson[src]
"Wait, slow down. A week ago, Wedge vaporized the Emperor and half the Imperial High Command—I know that Imperials tried to stab us in the back after the truce at Bakura, but isn't the war basically over? Why won't the Imperials just surrender?"
"Would you stop fighting if Wedge was killed? Or me? Or Senator Organa? The Battle of Endor will always be a turning point in this war, but there are millions of Imperials scattered across the galaxy, and we can only assume that they will fight to the end. And they probably have orders to do just that."
―Tycho Celchu and Luke Skywalker[src]
"What do you say, Ten—take down an Imperial scout walker with a few blasters? Where are the Ewoks when we really need them?"
―Tycho Celchu to Ten Numb[src]
"I love having a Jedi on our side."
―Tycho Celchu to Wedge Antilles[src]

[edit] X-wing Rogue Squadron: The Rebel Opposition

Janson: "What's that?"
Celchu: "Might be dinner."
Janson: "Are you nuts? What if it's toxic?"
Celchu: "Let's cook it and see how it smells."
―Wes Janson and Tycho Celchu discussing a cave creature killed by Celchu[src]

[edit] X-wing Rogue Squadron: Battleground: Tatooine

"I hope you meant what you said about showing your gratitude."
"Just attend to business, flyboy, and I may let you kiss me goodnight."
―Tycho Celchu and Winter[src]
Celchu: "There's been so much loss. It's hard to comprehend it all."
Winter: "You've lost as much as anyone, Tycho. Your fianceé, Mia—your family—"
Celchu: "Mia was my sister. My fianceé was named Nyiestra. This ice sculpture's melting already."
Winter: "According to your Imperial file—"
Celchu: "That file's full of errors. I was talking to my family on Alderaan when the HoloNet transmission went down. Later, I learned why—because my whole planet had been destroyed by the Death Star. That's when I went Rebel."
—Tycho Celchu and Winter[src]
Celchu: "Maybe you'd feel better if one of us stayed here…as a bodyguard"
Winter: "No need. I can take care of myself."
Celchu: "Yeah. I guess you can."
Antilles: "I think you've got her interested, Tycho. She just doesn't know it yet."
—Tycho Celchu, Winter, and Wedge Antilles[src]
Celchu: "One thing's been on my mind, and I'd appreciate a straight answer. In the contest, if you'd been in Wedge's position, would you have saved him or gone for the globe?"
Winter: "No question at all. The mission dictated that I go for the globe. Wedge knew the risks."
Celchu: "I'm beginning to see where you got your name. Agent Winter, you've got ice water running in your veins."
Winter: "That's what they say, flyboy. It just took you a little longer than the rest to figure it out."
―Tycho Celchu and Winter[src]
Antilles: "Winter…are you all right?"
Winter: "It's just…it's Tycho. I tried not to let him get under my skin because…well, I knew how much it would hurt if I lost him. I guess I didn't do such a good job of it, because it hurts like you wouldn't believe…"
Antilles: "Tycho! Thanks for reminding me…I forgot all about him!"
Winter: "Forgot!? How could you forget!? He was your friend…your…your…!"
Antilles: "Take it easy! He's probably sitting in the shade waiting for us to pick him up!"
—Wedge Antilles and Winter[src]
"I have to apologize again for the mix-up, Winter. I didn't really mean to worry you that way."
"I was only worried about one thing, Tycho—that I wouldn't be able to give you that kiss I promised you when you first arrived."
―Tycho Celchu and Winter[src]

[edit] X-wing Rogue Squadron: In the Empire's Service

"Who's Baron Fel, and why should I care?"
"Fel is the best Imperial pilot alive."
Isplourrdacartha Estillo and Tycho Celchu[src]
"Fel taught Hobbie, Biggs, and me everything we knew about flying. We simmed against him dozens of times and never got him."
―Tycho Celchu to the rest of Rogue Squadron[src]
Antilles: "It seems unfair, but losing Ibtisam didn't hurt as much as the idea of losing Wes."
Celchu: "And that surprises you? We all do it, Wedge, those of us that have been around a while."
Antilles: "Do what?"
Celchu: "Don't let ourselves get emotionally invested in the new guys because they'll probably die. I don't think you called me by my first name for a good six cycles after I joined the squadron."
―Wedge Antilles and Tycho Celchu[src]
"He is one of their best. I will kill him."
Turr Phennir to Soontir Fel, speaking of Tycho Celchu[src]
"Heard you tangled with Fel's second…"
"He was good, but ran before we could decide anything."
―Wes Janson and Tycho Celchu[src]

[edit] X-wing Rogue Squadron: Masquerade

Antilles: "You remember Tycho."
Solo: "Your sabacc playing paid my debts on Hoth."
Celchu: "Yes, sir, but I'm wiser now, I don't play."
—Wedge Antilles, Han Solo, and Tycho Celchu[src]
Celchu: "The last time I thought I saw you, it was a woman named Winter."
Winter: "She's an old friend."
Celchu: "Then you could tell me about her."
Winter: "I suppose I could. She's been an aide to me and my father for what seems like forever. As an Alliance agent, she's accomplished so much, finding supplies…she's also educated, well bred, and very refined."
Celchu: "And she's very beautiful."
Winter: "I could almost swear you're smitten by her."
Celchu: "You could say that. It's more than a 'we're survivors of Alderaan thing,' for me, anyway."
Winter: "I seem to recall her having mentioned you."
Celchu: "Really?!"
Winter: "In passing…"
Celchu: "Oh…"
Winter: "No, wait. For Winter, that's quite something. She hides her emotions so she can do her job. To have mentioned you is good."
Celchu: "That's good, I guess."
Winter: "Very good. I can't recall her being interested in anyone since the Rebellion began. Never would have thought she'd go for a pilot."
Celchu: "You did."
—Tycho Celchu and Winter, posing as Leia Organa[src]
Celchu: "Han sent me up here. He said…"
Winter: "I wanted you to help me with this…"
Celchu: "WOW!"
Winter: "Do I take that as a 'yes?'"
Celchu: "Forgive me, Highness. You're gorgeous."
Winter: "That's a yes, then. Good…"
Celchu: "Winter?"
Winter: "If we could fool you, we could fool anyone."
Celchu: "I should really make sure it is you."
Winter: "Please."
—Tycho Celchu and Winter, posing as Leia Organa[src]
Winter: "I knew the mission would be dangerous, but not this way. I apologize for getting you into it."
Celchu: "You didn't get me into this."
Winter: "Sure I did. I suggested we use Rogue Squadron and you specifically for this duty. I wanted to see you again…"
Celchu: "I'm glad for that, despite where we are. If I'd not been ordered on this assignment, I would have volunteered for it. And I liked talking to you about Winter."
Winter: "Sorry about the deception."
Celchu: "Don't be. I was glad to learn where I stand. And before you apologize again for where that is, look, others are less in danger because we're here, right?"
Winter: "True. But what do you think will happen to us when Tavira learns Leia is elsewhere?"
Celchu: "She's not the most gracious of hostesses, is she? Question is whether she'll pull us from the cells or just shoot us in here."
Winter: "Dying in one of these cells isn't how I want to go out."
Celchu: "We're not dying in these cells, I promise you that. We're getting out when the time is right, and Tavira will pay for the lack of hospitality."
Winter: "You Rogues have a rep for doing the impossible, but getting us out of here has to tax even your skills."
Celchu: "It's not the difficulty of the task, m'lady, but the degree of motivation. You once rewarded me with a kiss, and for the chance at another, I'll tear this ship apart. Believe it."
—Winter and Tycho Celchu[src]
Celchu: "Why'd a Y-wing have to be the only two seater here?"
Winter: "Why a two seater? I thought you liked the idea of snuggling."
Celchu: "If we live to get out of this, I'll remind you of that remark."
—Tycho Celchu and Winter[src]

[edit] X-wing Rogue Squadron: Mandatory Retirement

Celchu: "Anything interesting in your messages?"
Antilles: "Aside from the marriage proposals, you mean?"
Celchu: "I keep telling you, it's that Imperial wanted poster. You look handsome."
Antilles: "You're just angry they used your Academy holo on yours."
Celchu: "It's not a good image of me. But the women, they just love you for the reward."
Antilles: "Yeah, that's probably it. I did have a message from some folks who want me to run for president of the New Republic."
Celchu: "We have elections? Do we get to vote?"
Antilles: "We will. I gather they think I'm a good leader."
Celchu: "Well, they're clearly not rational."
Antilles: "They suggested you as my running mate."
Celchu: "Rationality is so overrated in a constituency, after all."
Antilles: "Politics isn't for me. Before I became a pilot, I always wanted to be an architect."
Celchu: "C'mon, Wedge, this war has helped us develop the skills we'd need to lead a nation."
Antilles: "Tycho, the skills we have developed run strongly toward breaking things."
Celchu: "You have a point there…but, you know, I kinda like breaking things."
Antilles: "Good, because we have a lot more breaking to do before the Empire's through."
—Tycho Celchu and Wedge Antilles[src]
Celchu: "Does that mean we abort if we arrive and things look wrong?"
Winter: "Define wrong."
Dendo: "They've sent a Death Star to pick Pestage up."
Salm: "We'll leave the Death Star to Wedge and Tycho while we do our job, then."
Celchu: "Only one Death Star? Then we'll be ready to save you when you need it."
—Tycho Celchu, Winter, Kapp Dendo, and Horton Salm[src]
Winter: "First Han Solo and then you want a princess? This isn't a rebellion, it's a matchmaker's cotillion."
Dendo: "I don't recall your protesting Tycho's being around."
Winter: "He's different."
Dendo: "Oh?"
Winter: "He's a living, breathing piece of Alderaan that I have no intention of letting the Empire take away from me."
—Winter and Kapp Dendo[src]

[edit] X-wing: Rogue Squadron

Horn: "You know, you're one hot hand in a TIE."
Celchu: "Nice of you to say, Mr. Horn—I'm a bit rusty, but I really enjoyed this run. Next time I'll give you more of a fight."
Filla: "Admiral Ackbar is ready to see you now, sir. If you will follow me."
Celchu: "Good flying, all of you. Congratulations on winning the scenario."
Horn: "I thought Commander Antilles was in that TIE. I mean it had to be someone as good as him to get you three."
Ven: "Apparently he is that good."
Ynr: "He flew circles around me."
Qrygg: "At least you saw him. He caught Ooryl as Ooryl fixed on his wingman. Ooryl is free hydrogen in simspace. That man is very good."
Horn: "Sure, but who is he? He's not Luke Skywalker, obviously, but he was with Rogue Squadron at Bakura and survived Endor."
Ven: "The Endor tab had a black dot in the middle—he survived the Death Star run."
Ynr: "What difference does it make who he is?"
Horn: "Rhys, he shot up three of our best pilots, had me dead in space, and says he's a bit rusty! I want to know who he is because he's decidedly dangerous."
Corran Horn, Tycho Celchu, Filla, Nawara Ven, Rhysati Ynr, and Ooryl Qrygg[src]
"What I know, General, is this: Tycho Celchu is a hero—much more of a hero than I am. On Hoth he fought as fiercely as anyone and at Endor he piloted an A-wing that led a bunch of TIE fighters on a merry chase through the Death Star. He took them off our backs while Lando and I went in and blew the installation's reactor. He fought at Bakura and went on subsequent missions with the squadron, then volunteered, General, volunteered to fly a captured TIE fighter on a covert mission to Coruscant. He got captured. He escaped. That's it."
―Wedge Antilles to Horton Salm[src]
Ackbar: "Captain Celchu has agreed to these conditions?"
Antilles: "He's no different from you, Admiral—he's a warrior. What he knows, what he can teach, will keep pilots alive. Of course, there's no way General Salm will ever let him fly in combat again."
Salm: "That can be etched in transparisteel."
Antilles: "So serving as an instructor is the only way he can fight back. You have to give him this chance."
Ackbar, Wedge Antilles, and Horton Salm[src]
Ackbar: "Captain Celchu, Commander Antilles has told me that you have agreed to a remarkable number of restrictions on yourself and your activities. Is this true?"
Celchu: "Yes, sir, it is."
Ackbar: "You realize you will be flying a defenseless bomb, you will have no privacy and no freedom."
Celchu: "I do, sir."
Ackbar: "You will be treated no better than I was when I served as a slave to Grand Moff Tarkin. You will be treated worse, in fact, because General Salm here believes you are a threat to the New Republic. Why do you agree to such treatment?"
Celchu: "It's my duty, sir. I chose to join the Rebellion. I willingly froze on Hoth. I followed orders and assaulted a Death Star. I volunteered for the mission that got me in all this trouble. I did all those things because that's what I agreed to do when I joined the Rebels. Besides, even the worst you can do to me will still be better than Imperial captivity."
—Ackbar and Tycho Celchu[src]
"Admiral, if the pilots I flew against are representative of the rest of the people we have to work with, Rogue Squadron should be operational within a couple of months, and the scourge of the Empire not very much longer after that."
―Tycho Celchu to Ackbar[src]
"Lieutenant, I want you to understand two things: First, I have the utmost trust and confidence in Captain Celchu. I have no reservations—none—about him, his service, his skills, or his commitment to the Alliance."
―Wedge Antilles to Corran Horn[src]

[edit] X-wing: Wedge's Gamble

Horn: "So, you don't even know, really, if you are an Imperial agent waiting to happen or not?"
Celchu: "I know I'm not. Being able to prove it is something else again."
Horn: "But being constantly under suspicion, that's got to wear on you. Why put up with it? How can you put up with it?"
Celchu: "I put up with it because I must. Enduring it is the only way I can be allowed to fight back against the Empire. If I were to walk away from the Rebellion, if I were to sit the war out, I would have surrendered to the fear of what Ysanne Isard might, might, have done to me. Without firing a shot she would have made me as dead as Alderaan, and I won't allow that. There's nothing in what I have to live with on a daily basis that isn't a thousand times easier than what I survived at the hands of the Empire. Until the Empire is dead, I can never truly be free because I'll always be under suspicion. Living with minor restrictions now means someday no one has to fear me."
―Corran Horn and Tycho Celchu[src]
"All of us recall where we were when we heard the news and the tragedy's impact hit us full at that moment. Sel had thought nothing was amiss, then he learned the significance of what he had experienced. The hours in which he considered it nothing mock him and haunt him."
―Winter to Corran Horn, speaking of Tycho Celchu's reaction to the destruction of Alderaan[src]
"Tycho has been here as long as the rest of us have and has been working for me. I wanted one sabacc card that wouldn't change value on me and he was it. He'd been to Coruscant inside two years ago, knew how to get around, and, as we saw just now, has turned out to be very useful."
―Wedge Antilles to the rest of Rogue Squadron[src]

[edit] X-wing: The Krytos Trap

Antilles: "If I were in your boots, I'd be angry and outraged."
Celchu: "That's because you've never been a guest in the Empire's correctional system. All the anger and outrage I can muster won't get me out of here any faster, and it could get me in trouble."
Antilles: "But aren't you angry about being imprisoned for something you didn't do?"
Celchu: "Yes."
Antilles: "Then why don't you show it? You can't keep it bottled up inside. It'll tear you apart."
Celchu: "Wedge, you've always been my friend and you've supported me with no questions asked, but what I'm enduring now is really no different than what I endured while being under house arrest. Sure, I can't go flying, can't head out to Borleias with Mirax to save Corran's tail, and I'm not free to walk the streets of Coruscant as your hole card, but nothing has really changed. Since my capture by the Empire right here on Coruscant I've been their prisoner. I've never really escaped the Empire because they managed to make others suspicious of me. I was outraged then and have been since, but protesting wouldn't do me any good. The only way I can be free, truly free, is for the Empire to be destroyed. I know, as it falls apart, someone somewhere will have the information that will set me free."
Antilles: "And if they don't?"
Celchu: "You figured out a plan to take Coruscant away from the Empire. Springing a friend from prison shouldn't be that hard for you to manage."
Ven: "Let's not be adding conspiracy to the charges against you."
—Wedge Antilles, Tycho Celchu, and Nawara Ven[src]

RI: Resistant in primary phase.

Notes: Though the subject's initial response to Imperial icons was positive, this appeared to be an artifact of his years spent at the Imperial Academy.

It did not last long. Subject aggressively attacked Imperial icons. When those icons were overlaid with Alliance datastreams, the contradiction caused the subject to become catatonic. Subject is unsuitable for conversion.

"This is Captain Tycho Celchu, as loyal a son of Alderaan and the New Republic as ever lived. He willingly chose to subject himself to a surrendering of his basic freedoms in order to bring the Empire down. Because of suspicions about what the Empire might have done to him, it was felt he could not be trusted, yet this man refused to let those suspicions prevent him from doing all he could to destroy the Empire. On numerous occasions he put his own life in jeopardy, flying unarmed into combat zones to rescue pilots who otherwise would have died. Most recently you have all seen him on trial for treason and murder of other members of Rogue Squadron. This trial, as public and as ugly as it was, played a crucial part in an Intelligence operation to uncover Imperial agents within the New Republic. Despite being held up as an object of revulsion to the New Republic, Captain Celchu did not shirk his duty. He allowed himself to become such a target because it would mean that Imperial agents felt free to operate more openly while Captain Celchu was the subject of such fierce scrutiny. Imperial agents, in helping to manufacture evidence against Captain Celchu, revealed themselves to us. Let there be no citizen of the New Republic who harbors suspicions about Tycho Celchu. His devotion to the New Republic is unquestioned. His return to active service with Rogue Squadron is a joyous event for us, and an event that should be feared by those who would attack the New Republic."
Mon Mothma in a public ceremony[src]
Antilles: "I joined this Rebellion to fight the Empire's tyranny. Just because we have Coruscant doesn't mean it's ended. The New Republic might not be able to strike at Thyferra, but there are Rebels around who can. I quit, too."
Fey'lya: "It would appear, Captain Celchu, that Rogue Squadron is now your command."
Celchu: "I don't think so. It's been a long time since I've been a civilian. I'm out as well."
—Wedge Antilles, Borsk Fey'lya, and Tycho Celchu[src]

[edit] X-wing: The Bacta War

"I am Tycho Celchu, son of Alderaan, now orphan of the galaxy. I have come to this place of my birth to pay homage to who I was and those I knew. And those I loved and love still. It is my wish that when life abandons me, I am returned here to be among you, so that for eternity we may be together as we should have been in life. These gifts are but insufficient tokens of the love for you all that still burns within me. This fighter is another. It bears the colors of the Alderaanian Guard and transmits their code. It is my pledge to you—not of vengeance but of vigilance. I hope you rest well knowing you will rest alone, because it is my life's work to see to it that no one else suffers as you have. I won't rest until this quest is complete. Rest easy. I miss you all."
―Tycho Celchu making his Return[src]
"Tycho, any sign of intelligent life on board?"
"Ah, Wedge, it thinks I'm an Alderaanian war frigate, so I think we can rule out intelligence."
―Wedge Antilles and Tycho Celchu[src]
"It was a great shot, Tycho. If I couldn't get her, well, your claim predated mine."
"Corran, we got her. That's all that counts."
―Corran Horn and Tycho Celchu[src]

[edit] X-wing: Wraith Squadron

"I'd be happy to remain in charge officially, but for all squadron activities, Captain Celchu is more than qualified to lead…and now that he's been cleared of the formal charge of Corran Horn's murder and the informal charge of being a brainwashed double agent, there shouldn't be any responsible objection to his full return to duties."
―Wedge Antilles to Ackbar[src]

[edit] The Last Command

"You know, Rogue Leader, it occurs to me that those Imperials wouldn't have so many ships available to pound us with if they had to protect their shipyard at the same time."
―Tycho Celchu to Wedge Antilles[src]

[edit] X-wing: Isard's Revenge

"It's called the gray fallacy. One person says white, another says black, and outside observers assume gray is the truth. The assumption of gray is sloppy, lazy thinking. The fact that one person takes a position that is diametrically opposed to the truth does not then skew reality so the truth is no longer the truth. The truth is still the truth. The truth in this case is simple: Krennel is an unreconstructed Imperial who has been shown in the past to have a penchant for cruelty and murder."
―Tycho Celchu to Myn Donos and Gavin Darklighter[src]

[edit] I, Jedi

"Colonel, if we were expecting the pirates to jump us, and they did not, was this mission a success?"
"Good question, Nine. This is one of these missions where only Intelligence will be able to tell us how we did. Then again, we lost only machines, not people. It's a victory anytime that happens."
―Corran Horn and Tycho Celchu[src]
"Even without using the Force, there are some people who have minds so slow that you can almost hear synapses firing at a torpid pace. Others are so quick-witted you end up marveling at connections they make, but only after the five or ten minutes it takes you to unravel their thought processes. And then there are people whose minds move in multiple dimensions, all at lightspeed, leaving you unable to even begin to guess how their minds work. Tycho Celchu had such a mind, but what impressed me about him was not the speed with which he thought, but the cool deliberation that defined the way he thought. When he picked me up as a target I didn't feel the narrowing blade the way I had with Gavin. Instead Tycho had my ship all boxed up and, second by second, shrank that box, eliminating extraneous data, until my ship and a little box he had labeled target were one and the same. More impressive than that, however, was the fact that the little target box had multiple appendages, each pointing off in the direction of all the maneuvers I could use to escape him. If I jinked right, he could pull me back into his targeting box. If I combined two moves or three, appendages flowed away from eliminated options and grew up to choke off new avenues of escape. His mind worked like the legendary Mon Calamari demonsquid, lashing me with arm after arm that sought to drag me back into the place where he could kill me."
―Corran Horn[src]

[edit] X-wing: Starfighters of Adumar

"I thought maybe you'd be able to do what I never could. Get Wes up to an emotional age of fourteen, maybe fifteen."
"No power in the universe could do that. Not Darth Vader and the dark side of the Force, not the nuclear devastation of an exploding sun."
―Wedge Antilles and Tycho Celchu[src]
Celchu: "I've been reviewing engineering records and damage statistics."
Janson: "While we've been maneuvering?"
Celchu: "Restraining myself so you could keep up with me left me plenty of time for intellectual pursuits. I also composed a symphony and drafted a plan to bring peace to the galaxy. Anyway, without shields, these things come apart under any missile hit. But they're structurally tough, more so than X-wings, so they hang together after taking more collateral damage or laser hits. I'd like to see how much maneuverability they lose with a set of shields, hyperdrive, maybe a gunner's seat installed. If it's not too great a loss, we may have a viable fighter-bomber here, something useful in fleet actions against capital ships."
—Tycho Celchu and Wes Janson evaluating the Blade-32[src]
"Tycho's too used to really maneuverable fighters. TIE fighters, A-wings…the X-wing is the most sluggish thing he's ever spent a lot of time with. The Blade is just too much like flying a boulder for him."
Derek Klivian to Wedge Antilles[src]
"But circumstance dictates tactics. The greatest honor comes from killing the most prestigious enemy."
"No. That's the second greatest honor. The greatest honor comes from protecting those who are depending on you. Which you can't do if you get yourself killed."
Liak ke Mattino and Tycho Celchu[src]
Janson: "The court, the crowds. They have tags for us all now, and I'm the darling one. Tycho is 'the doleful one.'"
Celchu: "I'm not sad."
Janson: "No, but you look sad. Makes the ladies of Cartann's court want to comfort you. They're so sad about wanting to comfort you that you could comfort them."
Klivian: "And Tycho the only one of us with a successful relationship with a woman. Missed opportunities, Tycho."
—Wes Janson, Tycho Celchu, and Derek Klivian[src]

[edit] Star Wars: Union

Darklighter: "They're breaking."
Antilles: "Watch them. Make sure they don't regroup."
Celchu: "Keep shooting like that, Wedge, and there won't be any more to regroup."
—Gavin Darklighter, Wedge Antilles, and Tycho Celchu[src]
"Miss a party for a Rogue? Not possible."
―Tycho Celchu to Luke Skywalker[src]

[edit] Dark Tide I: Onslaught

Darklighter: "Is there a problem here, Private?"
Trooper: "Sir, I tried to stop them, sir, but they said it would be okay to enter your office. They said you wouldn't mind."
Darklighter: "Did they? And did they say who they were?"
Trooper: "Just some old guys, sir."
Darklighter: "And you let them in there? Why didn't you stop them?"
Trooper: "I tried, but they took my blaster away from me."
Darklighter: "And your comlink?"
Trooper: "They took that, too. They told me to wait here for you, otherwise I'd be guilty of abandoning a post, sir."
—Gavin Darklighter and a security guard, after Wedge Antilles and Tycho Celchu hazed the guard[src]
Darklighter: "He described you as 'two old guys.'"
Antilles: "No respect among the young anymore, is there, Tycho?"
Celchu: "None, Wedge, none at all. Probably the fault of the command staff."
Darklighter: "What are you two doing here?"
Antilles: "We heard from various sources that you're going to be going to war." We're too old to fly, but not to help out. You need us, you've got us."
Darklighter: "You may want to reconsider that offer. This isn't going to be pretty at all."
Celchu: "War never is, Gavin. Let's just hope, together, we can make it very short."
—Gavin Darklighter, Wedge Antilles, and Tycho Celchu[src]

[edit] Dark Tide II: Ruin

Jaina: "Before, the Force has always tipped the scales in our favor. Here, we just have to be ourselves and do the best we can. Of course, I've got great examples to follow in doing that."
Jacen: "Colonel Darklighter?"
Jaina: "Yes, him, the rest of the Rogues, General Antilles, Colonel Celchu. None of them have the Force, but they're ace pilots. I mean, I have a hard time imagining life without the Force, and these guys are doing great things without relying on it."
Jaina Solo and Jacen Solo[src]
Horn: "Colonel Darklighter suggested that when we get back from Garqi, I should run a sim against you and see how good you are."
Solo: "I'll disappoint you, Colonel. General Antilles and Colonel Celchu regularly vape me in exercises."
Horn: "Well, they still vape me. Perhaps we should sim against them, teach them old guys a lesson or two."
—Corran Horn and Jaina Solo[src]

[edit] Enemy Lines I: Rebel Dream

"Now, let's think about soft-style fighting. The Yuuzhan Vong are going to hit us here at Borleias. We need to draw them in, give them some success they don't deserve, so they'll grow to depend on and anticipate tactics that we can abandon when we need to. I need a me and I need a them."
"Well, I can be them probably as well as I can be you. And, of course, you can be you better than I can be you. But if you're them and I'm you, everyone is thinking outside the box."
―Wedge Antilles and Tycho Celchu[src]
"Tycho, we're about to achieve a tremendous victory we don't want."
"We'll put that in your biography. General Antilles was so good he couldn't fail when he tried to."
―Wedge Antilles and Tycho Celchu[src]
Celchu: "That was interesting."
Antilles: "He deliberately countermanded one of my orders."
Celchu: "He was furtive."
Antilles: "Sneaky, even."
Celchu: "We'll make a Rebellion-style pilot of him yet."
—Tycho Celchu and Wedge Antillles, on Jagged Fel[src]
Antilles: "Because, sometime in the next day or two, they're going to attack us here—and that's exactly what we want them to do."
Wessiri Antilles: "And when they do, who are you going to face them with? The New Republic or the Rebel Alliance?"
Antilles: "Neither. We're going to face them with an enemy they've never had the displeasure of fighting. We're going to hit them with the Empire."
Celchu: "They're not going to like the Empire."
—Wedge Antilles, Iella Wessiri Antilles, and Tycho Celchu[src]

[edit] The Unifying Force

Karrde: "I've yet to meet a military man who's actually willing to pay for a drink."
Celchu: "I've never met one who has to pay."
Antilles: "I'll drink to that."
Celchu: "Anyway, that's ex-military, as of tomorrow."
Solo: "Skulking back into retirement, huh?"
Celchu: "It's either that, or Winter leaves me."
Antilles: "She must have been talking with Iella. It's a conspiracy."
Solo: "To last flings."
Antilles: "I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm ready for the simple life again. The Alliance will just have to make do with guys like Darklighter, Page, and Cracken."
Celchu: "Pity the Alliance."
Solo: "The familiar strains of midlife."
Celchu: "This from a guy who refuses to go quietly into the void."
Solo: "Not true. "It's the Falcon that keeps leading me into trouble."
Terrik: "I'm beginning to think the same of Errant Venture."
Karrde: "Next time maybe you should choose a different shade of red."
Celchu: "So what's next for you guys?"
Karrde: "We're waiting for the dust to settle. And I don't mean the yorik coral dust. Everything from here to Helska and back has been given a good shaking. A lot of groups that were at the top are suddenly at the bottom, and the other way around."
Celchu: "Who, for instance?"
Karrde: "Well, at the top you've got the Bothans, chiefly because of Fey'lya's brave last stand and Kre'fey's heroic victory. But vying for second place are the Sullustans, Hapans, the former Imperials, the Mon Calamari."
Antilles: "Who do you figure has fallen?"
Karrde: "Everyone Rimward of Wayland. Plus the Ithorians, Bimms, Kuati, Corellians. But more than anyone, the Hutts."
Calrissian: "A lot of folk were forced to do without spice during the war, and have lost their appetite for it. In fact, just about anyone who had regular dealings with the Hutts has lost credibility—the Rodians—except for the Jungle Clans—Whiphids, Klatooinians, Weequays, Vodrans, Iotrans, Nikto…Didn't help that a lot of them supported the Peace Brigade."
Terrik: "They're the ones who should be brought to trial for war crimes."
Antilles: "They will be. Cal Omas has left the decision to individual worlds and systems."
Celchu: "Who else is on the way up?"
Karrde: "Corporate Sector and Tion Hegemony. Just about every system Rimward of Eriadu on the Rimma, and Varonat on the Trade Spine."
Calrissian: "I'll tell you who's gained the most—your friends, the Ryn."
Solo: "Figures Droma would come out of this smelling like a flower. Of course, knowing Droma, he's somewhere saying the same about me."
Celchu: "Yeah. We didn't think you could become a bigger hero than you already were, old man."
Antilles: "Someday they'll raise a statue—"
Solo: "I've already heard that one from Leia. Besides, every world, every system's contributed a hero to this war. I haven't told this to anyone, but I swear on the Falcon that I saw Fett at Caluula, and he did as much as anyone to try to save that station from the Vong."
Calrissian: "As in Boba?"
Solo: "Of course, Boba—running with a bunch of other guys in Mandalorian armor and jet packs. He even managed to come up with a new Firespray."
Karrde: "Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but I heard that that same bunch showed up to help liberate Ord Mantell."
Bombaasa: "And Tholatin."
Terrik: "And Gyndine."
Calrissian: "Hey, if Pellaeon can be considered an ally, why not a former bounty hunter?"
Solo: "You're the people that deserve statues. But I suppose that'll have to wait until Wolam Tser or someone does a holodocumentary about the notorious Smugglers' Alliance."
Karrde: "That would be Ex-Smugglers' Alliance. It's true, Han. We've mended our ways."
Terrik: "Seen the light."
Bombaasa: "Come around."
Calrissian: "Reformed."
Celchu: "Anyone want to add another cliche?"
Solo: "How about 'gotten too old for this'?"
Antilles: "That'll do."
Solo: "What, Tendra and Shada are making honest men of you?"
Karrde: "Shada and I are business partners. That's it."
Calrissian: "Hey, it was your wife who wrote the book on the subject."
Solo: "To the war's true unsung heroes, the spouses. Seriously, Lando. What's the game plan?"
Calrissian: "Let me put it this way. With the need for so much rebuilding—of worlds, governments, trading routes—and new markets opening in the Imperial Remnant, Chiss space, even parts of the Unknown Regions, there'll be no shortage of opportunities for people motivated more by philanthropy than profit."
Celchu: "To our noble selves. Few of us left."
Solo: "More by philanthropy than profit. I swear, this crazy place is having an effect on everyone."

[edit] Betrayal

"A lot of pilots bank and begin their run to safety the instant they launch missiles. A lot of gunners know this. You see a target coming in, you see him launch missiles, choose one vector for him and fire in that direction. One time in ten you'll choose right and you'll vape him. Unless you're Tycho Celchu, when it's one time in four."
―Wedge Antilles to Syal Antilles[src]
"I can't believe that we're sitting here wearing different uniforms."
"Me, either."
―Tycho Celchu and Wedge Antilles[src]
"Tycho, let's get this situation patched up. If it comes to war, with you and Syal where you are, I'll have family on both sides."
"Aww. You're going to make me cry."
―Wedge Antilles and Tycho Celchu[src]
Antilles: "Both our wives are ex-Intelligence. Tycho's wife used to babysit Jaina, in fact. Whatever we've learned, we've picked up mostly through osmosis."
Celchu: "Normally, we just shoot things."
Antilles: "We keep trying to retire. Give up this life of shooting things."
Celchu: "We're really men of peace at heart."
―Wedge Antilles and Tycho Celchu to Zekk[src]

[edit] Fury

Antilles: "I was years older than you when I became an ambassador for the first time. Remember that, Tycho? How did we get through that assignment, anyway?"
Celchu: "Pretty much, we opened fire on everyone who disagreed with us."
Antilles: "When all else fails, just do that."
