R was a mysterious gangster who owned a space station in the Cularin system. During the Clone Wars, Jedi Master Darrus Jeht, the Jedi Trilinae Untaire and the smuggler Milinae Untaire attempted to discover R's true identity, but they were unable to find out much about the gangster and did not even know what gender the criminal was. Around this time, R destroyed Milinae's starship and the smuggler subsequently attempted to steal a yacht from R's space station, as a replacement.
