R3-D3 was an R3 series astromech assigned to the maintenance of the Starspeeder 3000 line of ships. R3 series astromechs were usually not used in sockets of craft as navigators due to their limited 5 coordinate memory. R3-D3 is seen inside of the Droid Repair Center most likely awaiting repairs or waiting to see active service in repairing a Starspeeder.
