RL-4 was a Protocol droid used by the Galactic Republic during the Galactic War as a special envoy in Office of the Supreme Chancellor Leontyne Saresh. In 3639 BBY RL-4 was visiting the Carrick Station, where he contacted an important figure, specifically selected by the Supreme Chancellor, to join Captain Hardin of the Outrider on a mission to the Vyron system.[1]

RL-4 appears in the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic as the Operation courier for the "Karagga's Palace" operation. Originally present on the Carrick Station, he was moved to Gav Daragon with Update 4.0.[1]
