The raid on the Imperial compound of Taral V was a military operation carried out by the Galactic Republic during the Cold War in order to obtain the Gree computer, which would provide them with the means to locate and gain access to a location of a top secret Imperial prison, which held a Jedi Master who was important to the Republic war effort.

A Galactic Republic strike team was sent to the planet by Jedi Master Oteg to assault a heavily guarded Imperial compound, in order to gain access to the Gree computer and find information about the location of the prison where the captive Jedi Master was held prisoner.

During the mission, the strike team encountered and fought many of the native animals and Imperials. The team then went on to fight Captain Shivanek and his pet Ripper, defeating them, and disabling the base's security system. After infiltrating the base, they accessed the Gree computer, which held the location of the captive Jedi.[2]
